Product features
This series of dry-type transformers is engineered with advanced manufacturing technologies and high-quality materials, delivering outstanding operational stability, energy efficiency, and environmental adaptability. It is widely applicable in industrial parks, commercial complexes, municipal infrastructure, outdoor substations, and similar scenarios, meeting diverse demands across various working conditions.
In terms of coil design and manufacturing, the product adopts a differentiated structure to ensure excellent electrical and mechanical performance. The low-voltage coil is wound with high-purity copper foil, featuring uniform thickness, a large conductive cross-section, and excellent thermal conductivity. This design reduces contact resistance between conductors, effectively lowering load loss, while optimizing the internal electromagnetic field distribution to prevent local overheating. Following winding, the coil ends undergo high-temperature curing, integrating insulation materials with the conductors to form a robust, integral structure that enhances mechanical strength and operational stability.
The high-voltage coil is produced using vacuum epoxy resin casting technology. The process is conducted in a high-vacuum environment where high-performance epoxy resin is injected into the winding gaps, completely eliminating bubbles, impurities, and moisture. After constant-temperature curing, the coil forms a solid cylindrical structure with extremely high mechanical strength, capable of withstanding electromagnetic forces from short-circuit faults. This results in a very low partial discharge level (≤5 pC), which reduces insulation aging and significantly improves operational reliability and service life. The design also provides high short-circuit and lightning impulse withstand capabilities, ensuring resilience in complex grid environments.
Heat dissipation performance is optimized through thin-layer epoxy insulation on the coil's inner and outer surfaces and the excellent thermal conductivity of the copper and resin. The default cooling method is air natural cooling (AN), which relies on convection and radiation, offering simplicity and low energy consumption. For applications with high-load density or requiring short-term overload capacity, an optional air forced cooling (AF) system can be equipped. Composed of efficient fans, temperature sensors, and a control module, the AF system activates automatically when temperature thresholds are exceeded, enhancing cooling efficiency by over 30% and ensuring safe operation under peak loads.
The product is equipped with a high-performance protective enclosure, constructed from stainless steel or aluminum alloy. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, suitable for harsh environments such as humidity, dust, and outdoor weather conditions. The protection level can reach IP23, meeting the needs of various application scenarios.

learn more
What applications is the SCB11 10kV dry-type transformer suitable for?
The SCB11 epoxy resin dry-type transformer is suitable for power distribution projects where **fire safety, compact installation, and clean operation** are important. Typical applications include: * High-rise buildings * Commercial centers * Hospitals * Hotels * Airports * Railway stations * Subways * Tunnels * Underground substations * Industrial facilities It is especially suitable for indoor installation close to the load center.
What voltage and capacity can be provided?
The SCB11 is designed for **10kV-class medium-voltage systems**. The transformer capacity and secondary voltage can be customized according to the project requirements. Please provide: * Required capacity in kVA * Primary voltage * Secondary voltage * Frequency * Load information Our technical team can then confirm the suitable configuration.
Why is the SCB11 suitable for projects with limited installation space?
The SCB11 uses a compact dry-type structure without an oil tank, oil conservator, or oil-related auxiliary system. This helps reduce the overall installation footprint and makes it suitable for indoor substations, equipment rooms, basements, and other projects where available space is limited. The final dimensions depend on transformer capacity, cooling method, and enclosure requirements.
What is the difference between the SCB11 dry-type transformer and an oil-immersed transformer?
The SCB11 does not use insulating oil around the core and windings. Compared with an oil-immersed transformer, it is generally more suitable for: * Indoor installation * Fire-sensitive locations * Buildings with strict safety requirements * Projects requiring reduced oil-related maintenance * Installation close to the load center Oil-immersed transformers may still be more suitable for some outdoor or utility applications.
What cooling methods are available?
The SCB11 can normally use: * **AN – Air Natural cooling** * **AF – Air Forced cooling**, if required Natural air cooling is suitable for normal rated operation. Forced air cooling can improve heat dissipation and provide additional short-term loading capability when the project requires it.
How is the transformer temperature monitored?
The transformer can be equipped with a temperature monitoring and control system. Depending on the configuration, it can provide: * Winding temperature display * Over-temperature alarm * Automatic cooling fan control * High-temperature trip signal * Remote monitoring interface This helps protect the transformer from overheating caused by overload or abnormal operation.
Can the transformer be supplied with a protective enclosure?
Yes. Different enclosure configurations can be provided according to the installation environment. Common protection options may include: * IP20 * IP23 * Other project-specific enclosure requirements The correct enclosure should be selected according to dust, moisture, ventilation, indoor conditions, and safety requirements.
