Product features
This series of transformers features an optimized structural design, combining advanced materials and manufacturing processes to deliver outstanding electrical performance, mechanical stability, and adaptability. It is widely suitable for industrial production, commercial buildings, municipal engineering, and similar applications. Below is an overview of its core structural components and optional configurations.
1. Iron Core
The core is wound from high-quality nanocrystalline alloy strips, known for ultra-high magnetic permeability, low coercivity, and minimal core loss. This reduces no-load loss by over 30% compared to traditional silicon steel. Available in three-phase five-column or three-phase three-column wound designs, the rectangular cross-section is optimized through electromagnetic simulation to ensure uniform magnetic flux distribution, reduce leakage, and lower losses. The wound structure enhances mechanical strength, suppressing vibration and noise.
2. High-Voltage Coil
The high-voltage coil adopts a segmented cylindrical structure for even voltage distribution and improved withstand capacity. It is manufactured using vacuum casting with thin insulation and hermetic sealing, which enhances heat dissipation and protects against moisture and dust. For high-capacity windings, axial air ducts are integrated to promote airflow and prevent local overheating. This results in high voltage withstand performance, extremely low partial discharge (≤5pC), excellent dust resistance, and efficient cooling.
3. Low-Voltage Coil
The low-voltage coil uses a foil structure with DMD prepreg hot-pressed between layers, effectively resolving ampere-turn imbalance common in traditional wire-wound designs. The foil ensures uniform current distribution, reduces localized losses, and eliminates axial winding angles, significantly lowering axial electromagnetic forces during short circuits. The hot-pressed process enhances interlayer bonding, forming a solid, mechanically stable coil with low additional loss.
4. Outer Casing & Configuration
The enclosure can be customized in materials such as ordinary steel (cost-effective for indoor use), aluminum alloy (lightweight, corrosion-resistant for outdoor/humid environments), or stainless steel (durable for harsh conditions like coastal or chemical plants). Protection levels include IP20 (indoor, blocks solids >12.5mm) and IP23 (outdoor/semi-outdoor, protects against angled water ingress). High- and low-voltage busbar interfaces can be flexibly configured to match user layout needs, simplifying installation and improving system compatibility.

FAQ
Find answers to common questions about our SC(B)H15 epoxy resin dry-type transformers, including specifications, winding materials, applications, customization, testing, and quotation requirements.
SEND YOUR REQUIREMENTS
What is an SC(B)H15 dry-type transformer?
The SC(B)H15 is an epoxy resin cast dry-type distribution transformer designed for medium-voltage power distribution applications. It uses a nanocrystalline or high-performance alloy core design to reduce no-load losses while maintaining reliable insulation and mechanical strength.
What is the difference between an SC(B)H15 transformer and a conventional SCB10 dry-type transformer?
The main difference is the core material and energy-loss performance. Compared with conventional silicon-steel SCB10 transformers, the SC(B)H15 design is intended to achieve lower no-load losses and lower excitation current, making it suitable for projects where long-term energy efficiency is an important consideration.
Can the transformer capacity and voltage be customized?
Yes. Transformer capacity, primary voltage, secondary voltage, frequency, vector group, tapping range, impedance, enclosure, and other technical parameters can be configured according to project requirements. For an accurate selection, please provide the required kVA capacity, input voltage, output voltage, frequency, and application.
Does this dry-type transformer use copper windings?
This model can be supplied with full copper windings according to the required specification. Copper windings provide good electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and thermal performance and are commonly selected for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure power distribution projects. Please confirm the required winding material when requesting a quotation.
Where can SC(B)H15 dry-type transformers be used?
SC(B)H15 dry-type transformers are suitable for indoor power distribution systems such as industrial plants, commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, infrastructure projects, substations, and other locations where fire safety, low maintenance, and reliable operation are important. The final configuration should be selected according to the installation environment and electrical system requirements.
Can you provide an enclosure and different IP protection levels?
Yes. The transformer can be supplied as an open-type unit or with a protective enclosure depending on the installation environment. Enclosure design, ventilation, protection level, cable entry arrangement, and other structural requirements can be customized according to the project. Please tell us whether the transformer will be installed indoors or outdoors when sending your inquiry.
What information should I provide to get an accurate quotation?
To prepare the correct transformer specification and quotation, please provide: Required capacity (kVA) Primary voltage Secondary voltage Frequency (50 Hz / 60 Hz) Phase configuration Vector group, if specified Winding material requirement Indoor or outdoor installation Enclosure / IP protection requirement Applicable standard Quantity Destination country If some parameters are not yet confirmed, send us your project requirements or single-line diagram, and our technical team can review them before quotation.
